Resham has over 30 years of experience within the vocational education and training sector. He started his career with the Manpower Services Commission and he has also worked for the Learning and Skills Council and Birmingham and Solihull Training and Enterprise Council.
He is currently employed as a Higher Apprenticeship Manager at Birmingham City University. This role was created in January 2016, to develop the university’s apprenticeship portfolio and to position the university as a significant and well regarded provider of higher and degree apprenticeships.
Prior to this Resham was the Skills and Learning Manager at Wolverhampton City Council, leading on the skills and apprenticeship strategy. He introduced and managed the Council’s internal apprenticeship programme. This position also involved managing the Council’s Employer Engagement Team, which supported local employers with their skills development needs and the production of sector skills plans for the Council’s priority sectors.
