We will shortly be incorporating Department for Education data on Further Education and Skills into our Analyst and FE Analyst tools (more details coming soon). In anticipation of this we have created a series of short reports for each of the 38 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) regions, which uses this data to look at Level 3 achievements by subject area and providers, along with our Job Posting Analytics data to identify skills demand. Each report contains the following:
Level 3 skills demand
We begin by identifying the top in-demand skills across the region in terms of how heavily a particular skill is concentrated in the region compared to the rest of the country.
SSA1 subjects by achievements
Here we take a look at the distribution of Level 3 learner achievements by the high level SSA1 subject areas in the area.
Most heavily concentrated headline subjects
Using a Subject Quotient metric, we explore how concentrated Level 3 provision is in the region in comparison to the rest of the country.
Top providers of Level 3 achievements
This identifies the top providers in the region, ranking them based on their share of regional Level 3 learner achievements.
Top SSA2 subjects by concentration
Finally, we again use the Subject Quotient metric, this time to determine which specific subjects are most concentrated in each region when compared to England as a whole.
