We are excited to announce details of a new partnership with the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC), aimed at bringing the benefits of localised Labour Market Insight (LMI) to their members.
The REC is a membership body representing more than 3,000 recruitment businesses in the UK, and as the voice of the recruitment industry, it seeks to champion high standards, speak up for great recruiters, and help them grow. One of the many ways it is currently seeking to help its members is by delivering more regionalised activity to support their business with practical guidance, and in particular by promoting better use of localised LMI, both as an essential component of making key strategic decisions, and in terms of the consultancy service that recruiters provide to their clients and candidates. Simply put, the more data-driven insight a recruitment business possesses, the better placed it is to make sound business decisions and provide a more complete service.
To help achieve this goal, REC have partnered with Emsi to launch a series of Workforce Intelligence reports covering every region of the UK, including every LEP area in England, plus Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Each report includes local employment trends and analysis, such as job and industry growth, job postings by occupation, and a deep dive into the area’s fastest growing sector and occupation. These reports have been made free to all REC members, in order to help them better understand trends in their local job market, so that they will be better placed to concentrate their resources and efforts on regional growth opportunities.
According to the organisation’s CEO, Neil Carberry:
“Being jobs market experts is at the heart of the value recruiters add to clients and candidates. This exciting new series of reports from Emsi and the REC will help our members deepen their understanding of what is going on at a local level. As well as providing better support to candidates and clients, they will also help recruiters make better decisions about the growth of their own business.”
Our partnership with REC is all part of our mission to “democratise data” by putting it into the hands of people who can use it make better decisions about their business and the world of work. As Emsi’s Director of Workforce Intelligence, Matt Mee explains:
“If you’re the CEO of a recruitment business, and you understand the dynamics of the labour market, this is critical information for some of the investment decisions that you are going to take. Where will you put resources? Where will you acquire new businesses? What new markets, geographies or sectors will you focus on? This is why we’ve partnered with REC — to put the kind of data that can answer these questions into the hands of their members.”
