We are pleased to announce that Emsi has been acquired by the Strada Education Network. Strada, who have bought Emsi from CareerBuilder, is a US-based non-profit organisation, “dedicated to improving lives by catalysing more direct and promising pathways between education and employment.” As their website explains:
“We engage partners across education, nonprofits, business and government to focus relentlessly on students’ success throughout all phases of their working lives. Together, we address critical college to career challenges through strategic philanthropy, research and insights, and mission-aligned affiliates — all focused on advancing the universal right to realized potential we call Completion With a Purpose®.”
The Strada mission therefore accords well with Emsi’s mission, which is very much focused on using insight to connect education providers, employers and students together to help create a more aligned labour market with better employment outcomes.
“As part of our commitment to closing the gaps between education and employment, we believe it is essential that higher education providers, employers and workforce leaders have access to timely and accurate insights on today’s labour market trends and, in turn, empower students and professionals with that information. Improving the exchange of information and insights between consumers, educators, employers and workforce leaders is a core focus of Strada’s work, and Emsi’s expertise and services sit at the heart of our mission.”
Although Emsi will continue to operate as an independent entity, the acquisition is likely to lead to collaborations and synergies that exist across Strada’s network. According to Emsi’s CEO, Andrew Crappuchettes:
“Strada’s mission aligns perfectly with our core mission: connecting people, education, and employers. We’re very excited to join Strada so we can use our data and insight to help more students complete their education with purpose.”
We are genuinely excited by the potential for shared innovation across Emsi that will be driven forward by integration into the Strada Network to provide even more value to our customers in pursuing this mission.
