Just over a year ago, Duncan Brown joined us as Senior Economist, and since that time he has literally been fizzing with new ideas and innovations, many of which have now seen the light of day in new consulting pieces.
However, such is life, Duncan has now become a victim of his own success, and has reached that point which is technically known as “swamped”. And so in order to ensure that our Consulting and Innovation Team can continue to grow from strength to strength, we have recently been looking for someone to work with Duncan to continue to grow our consulting offer. Enter Grant Hixon.
Grant joins us as Consulting Economist, where he’ll be using our data to solve strategy problems across our core markets in education, economic development and employment. Before coming to Emsi, Grant previously worked at the macroeconomic consultancy, Oxford Economics, and prior to that for the commodities research and consultancy firm, CRU.
At Oxford Economics, Grant was responsible for the development of the global macroeconomic model, and worked on a broad range of economic analyses in the delivery of consultancy projects, reports and presentations. He holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Sussex.
We welcome Grant to the team and look forward to seeing him working with Duncan to bring even more blessing to our clients.
