The Forum for Access and Continuing Education (FACE) is holding it’s annual conference on 29th June – 1st July at Queen’s University Belfast. The overarching theme for this year’s event is “Widening participation within the context of economic and social change: engaging applicants and empowering students to create successful graduates.”
For the second year running, Emsi will be sponsoring the event, and in addition to this our Business Development Manager for Higher Education, Dr. Jamie Mackay, will be co-presenting a paper with Sheffield Hallam University’s Director of Education and Employer Partnerships, Conor Moss. Their presentation — The role of partnership in delivering higher level skills and supporting economic growth — will look at how universities can collaborate with LEPs, FE colleges and employers to address regional skills needs, including higher and degree apprenticeships. The presentation will be of particular interest to outreach and recruitment practitioners looking for new ways to communicate the value of different HE options to prospective students who are increasingly career focused, and hungry to see how education can lead to sustainable, graduate level employment in their region.
