In our series looking at Middle Skills growth throughout Britain over the next three years, so far we have looked at Britain as a whole and Scotland. We now come on to the North West, asking where the growth in Middle Skills is likely to be in the region over the next three years.
According to our data, the situation in the North West now and over the next three years is as follows:
- There are currently 1,229,958 Middle Skills jobs in the region
- This looks set to rise to around 1,246,950 jobs by 2018
- The number of Middle Skills jobs in the North West is therefore expected to grow by 16,992 over the next three years
Delving deeper into the data, we can take a look at which occupations are likely to grow the most. The following graph shows the top 20 occupations in terms of expected growth over the next three years, together with educational levels:
