Back in January we reported that the EMSI UK team had expanded, with a new Business Development Manager for the Midlands (Andy Liddell) and a new Customer Service Manager for the South (Dave Wakefield). Along with our existing Customer Service Manager for the Midlands (Amanda Smallman) and Business Development Manager for the North (Anthony Horne), this still left us with two vacancies to fill in order to cover the whole country.
We are pleased to say that we have now filled both positions — Business Development Manager for the South and Customer Service Manager for the North — and would like to introduce you to these two new members.
Introducing Stephen Cunningham
Stephen joins us as Customer Service Manager for the North, where he will be working with our existing clients in the region to ensure that they receive great support in order to get the best out of our tools.
Stephen has spent the last four-and-a-half years in the Further Education sector, working at Wigan & Leigh College in project management, project implementation and sub-contracting within the Externally Funded Projects team — a role which involved working with numerous bodies including ESF, SFA, WNF. Prior to this, Stephen worked in finance for ten years within the housing sector, including budget preparation, presentation of accounts and monitoring income and expenditure.
Stephen’s knowledge of the FE sector in particular should be of great benefit to our clients in the North and his expertise will be used to train, support, develop, enhance and improve EMSI’s customer base across the region.
Stephen is based in Wigan, where he lives with his fiancée, two dogs and a cat.
Introducing Andrew Wearing
Andrew joins us as Business Development Manager for the Southern Region, where he will be working to open up new business in London, the South East and the South West.
Andrew began his working life in the world of I.T. as an Analyst Programmer. In the years following, he worked as a Systems Administrator, I.T. Team Leader, Systems Architect and Pre-Sales Technical Support Consultant, for a variety of large telecoms companies including Worldcom, C.O.L.T, and Nokia. After many years in such roles, Andrew felt a calling to go into Christian ministry, where he has spent the last 17 years, pioneering a church and pastoring two churches.
Andrew has now decided to step out of the ministry, partly in order to spend more time overseeing his young family, and he is excited at being given the opportunity to be a part of the EMSI story.
Andrew is based in London where he lives with his wife of 22 years, and their four great children.
The addition of Stephen and Andrew to the team means that we now have Business Development Managers and Customer Service Managers in all three regions of the country. As we continue our UK growth, this means that we will not only be able to introduce new clients to our tools, but also have the capacity to provide both new and existing clients with the kind of great service and help that we believe they deserve.
