Amanda Smallman joins EMSI as part time Business Development Manager for the Midlands Region. From 1999-2008, Amanda was employed at Solihull College, originally as an IT trainer, and then within the Workforce Development and Employer Engagement Directorate. During that time, she worked on Train2Gain, wrote and managed bids, was part of the college’s successful Training Quality Standard team and managed the college’s corporate IT training offer. Amanda left Solihull to set up a consultancy business which counts Sector Skills Councils, private training providers, the National Skills Academy for Retail and the Nationwide Caterers Association as clients, but returned in March 2011 in a Research Consultant capacity. Using EMSI’s Analyst, she produced an economic study for use cross-college and currently remains in post supporting the implementation of the report and working with the college’s sales team.
